Chiropractic care is a safe, effective, hands on treatment that helps to eliminate pain, restore function and improve mobility. This is achieved by correcting misalignments in the spine and extremities which help to restore communication from the brain to the rest of the body. Your spine houses a network of nerves that starts in your brain and extends to all parts of your body. These nerves control all of the functions of your body, including vital functions like heart rate and breathing as well as controlling every muscle in your body. Misalignments of the spine and extremities are called subluxations. If left untreated, this can lead to degeneration, postural scoliosis, dysfunction and chronic pain.

“Chiropractic” comes from the Greek word chiroprakitos, meaning “effective treatment by hand”. The practice of chiropractic emphasizes the idea that the cause of many disease processes begins with the body’s inability to adapt to its environment. When part of your spine is misaligned, as a result of an injury, overuse, bad posture, improper ergonomic conditions or a myriad of other causes, it can lead to nerve irritation, joint pain, muscle tightening and imbalance. We address this not by the use of drugs and chemicals, but by locating and adjusting the area of the body which is functioning improperly.

By correcting spinal subluxations we return the spine to a natural state of health.
