Starting from the time children are conceived, their bodies are growing and receiving stress. The stress on their spine starts as early as traveling through the birth canal. After birth, the physical stress and trauma continues when children grow into toddlers. They are faced with developmental challenges such as crawling and walking, which includes lots of falling and other physical stressors. As toddlers grow into kids, they often start to develop bad posture (due to so much time sitting at a desk and wearing heavy backpacks), start playing contact sports, and dealing with the stress of more daily responsibilities.
Stress and trauma can cause misalignments in their spines which can lead to issues with the nervous system. Just like adults, children's nervous systems help to control and regulate everything in their body. Many parents don’t understand the long-term effects of misalignments that children develop in their spine. Children do not always verbalize exactly what they feel when they are sore, uncomfortable, or in pain. Just like with adults, if the underlying cause is left alone for too long it can develop into much more serious issues. I am committed to protecting children's bodies by making sure they have the best possible functioning nervous system.
